Calendar of Events
All District and Department meetings are open to the public.
Regular Meetings
The CLVFD Business Meeting is held at 6:00 pm on the fourth Thursday of every month in the Wapiti Room. All firefighters and special duty responders are expected to attend. The attendance of any interested community members welcomed.
The CLFPD Board Meeting is held at 7:00 pm on the Third Thursday of every month in the the lower level committee meeting room at Crystal Lakes Basecamp. The attendance of any interested community or fire department member is welcomed.
Department Training
Training is held on the first Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm at the Crystal Lakes Fire station at 237 Blackfoot Road. Joint Training with Red Feather Lakes VFD is held the Saturday after the first Tuesday of every month at 9:00 am and will start at either the Crystal Lakes or Red Feather Lakes fire station, moving to appropriate locations for hands on field exercises when applicable. EMS Training is held the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Glacier View fire station. Additional trainings are added as appropriate.
Special Events
The CLVFD holds several special community and fund-raising events throughout the year.
Rummage Sale - A community garage sale benefiting the CLVFD is held every year on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend at the Fire Station. The success of this fundraiser depends on you! Please donate your unwanted items and come enjoy yourself at the sale.
Old Fashioned Fourt of July Celebration - Hosted by the CLVFD Firefighters and Special Duty Responders, the Fourth of July Celebration is our way of giving back to the community. Held near the Crystal Lakes Basecamp, events include a parade of fire engines and ATVs, an ATV decorating contest, music, food, raffles, and games for the children.

Warning Sirens
For the safety of the community, Crystal Lakes Associations has evacuations sirens posted throughout the Association. The evacuation siren in case of failure of the dam is located near the Wapiti Mailsheds to cover the floodplain area and sounds like this whoop sound:

Property owners in the floodplain should evacuate immediately if they hear this siren; all other property owners should remain on their lots, to keep the roads clear for those evacuating the floodplain.
Sirens in ALL parts of the association will sound the fire evacuation siren if a wildfire threatens the community -- it sounds like this alert sound:

ALL property owners should evacuate IMMEDIATELY if they hear this siren. Emergency personnel will be on hand to help direct evacuating property owners out of the area.
