| February 20, 2005 Thanks to Wellington Fire Protection District, Crystal Lakes Volunteer Fire Department now has a new brush truck. Gordon and Reta Taylor (13085) and their son, Derek, all past or present members of the Wellington Fire Protection District, delivered the truck to amazed CLVFD members. The 1987 Chevy 4-door, a 4-wheel drive automatic with a 454cc engine, can carry 250 gallons of water and up to five firefighters and their gear. It will prove indispensable for fighting wildland fires, and may be used as a first-response vehicle. Crystal Lakes Volunteer Fire Department is grateful to Wellington FPD for their outstanding generosity.
