The Auxiliary are a vital part of our
department, providing on-scene support to firefighters, and also
assisting with community events and fundraising. There are two
different types of Auxiliary: Responding and Supporting. Responding
Auxiliary carry radios and pagers, and respond to fire and medical
calls to lead in ambulances, provide traffic control, and assist where
needed. Supporting Auxiliary are notified by phone if their assistance
is needed to deliver food and water to firefighters on lengthy
call-outs. All Auxiliary attend Administrative meetings and assist
firefighters with fundraising and community
events.
